Walter Disney was a very creative and funny person, he was born in 1901, for the ones that don't know, he was the creator (as his last name says) of the awesome company! Hoy les vengo a hablar del tiempo. Probablemente muchos de ustedes se estén preguntando qué les voy a decir del tiempo. A lo mejor se están imaginando que les voy a platicar de los viajes en el tiempo, un tema de ciencia ficción que me gusta mucho, pero en esta ocasión será algo diferente.  Bueno, antes que nada, el tiempo es muy valioso y no todos saben apreciarlo. De aquí proviene la frase muy famosa de “El tiempo vale oro”. ¿Por qué se dice esto? ¿Qué es lo que le da tanto valor? La respuesta que les voy a decir a lo mejor sonará muy tonta para algunas personas pero es simplemente porque no se puede recuperar. Si lo pensamos bien realmente todo lo material lo podemos conseguir. Ya sé que probablemente sea súper difícil y nos cueste mucho esfuerzo pero el tiempo es algo que una vez que pasa y lo vivimos, lo único que nos quedan son los recuerdos.  Mucha gente dice “Lo puedo hacer otro día” o “Mejor me espero”. En todos los años que he trabajado como maestra siempre me he preguntado “¿Debemos dejar tareas o no?”  Como máma siempre me han confrontado otros padres con esta pregunta.  “¿Deben nuestros hijos tener una carga adicional de trabajo por las tardes después de una jornada escolar?”  “¿No deben los niños tener tiempo de juego y relajación?” He tenido experiencias desde ambas perspectivas:  dejar tareas para realizar en casa y no dejar tarea, después de todo los alumnos asisten a clases en promedio de 8:00 am a 3:00 pm.  Y esta ha sido mi experiencia con ambos lados de la historia. En el mundo competitivo de hoy en día, nos encontramos con más y más  padres que refuerzan e inclusive exigen un alto rendimiento académico por parte de las escuelas.  El personal de las instituciones académicas debe desarrollar altos niveles de pensamiento crítico, dos o más idiomas, habilidades en el área de tecnología y un gran número de habilidades académicas para un mundo cada vez más competitivo.

A world like I imagine it would be to not separate black from white, poor from rich or skinny from fat. Because the consecuences of this term, racism, are the ones that determine whether we are a good person or not. People should not be teaching their children to follow by this word, they are being taught that superior races are real, that some poeople are better than others. Racism has changed the idea of the world like I imagine it. If you think everything out there is fine, well it’s not, so open your eyes.
